Jewish Home Lifecare (JHL) has agreed not to go forward with construction while the lawsuit filed on behalf of P.S. 163 is pending. (One exception is that they are allowed to install noise attenuating windows in classrooms that will face the construction site during the summer break). If the judge assigned to the case delays his decision, JHL can start building -- but must give P.S. 163 lawyers 60 days advance notice before construction can begin (and during that time, P.S. 163 could ask the court for an order preventing JHL from beginning construction while the Court has the litigation case under consideration).
